Recommend it for couples who appreciate unique stays
The staff were super friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable, a cozy little nest for a night!
It wasn't exactly cheap but still manageable.

Charming stay with fine views and friendly staff
We enjoyed our stay with amazing views from our room. The cozy ambiance was upgraded with the helpful staff, who always greeted us warmly. The cheese board was good. A great location for scenic walks and local art galleries.

Neat and en suite room and air conditioner, a balcony and a lounge area inside. Great area, central location close enough to the Tulloch castle for an one night to stay and a restaurant that was in the Castle and the centre...

Large room view food dog allowed no charge
Large fireplace but fire not lit. Sconces on walls but no candles. Had to change dinner time booked as they needed to concentrate on booking for 30. Told us we shouldn't be too much of a problem as only 4 of us.!

I greatly enjoyed the continental breakfast and the large room. The amenities included a high ceiling, a lounge and a heating system. The location was favourable and beautiful there, to recption area.

Units with shappy bedding.

Staff were very efficient and very friendly. The breakfast room was very nice, as was the breakfast.
The rooms were slightly tired looking with small maintenance jobs required such as a broken plug chain in the sink. I think the 4 star rating is pushing it a bit too but overall we all liked the hotel. Repairing this would be a 5 minute job and it seems strange not to do these small repairs.

Beautiful historic hotel with great ambiance and friendly, helpful staff. Have stayed several times before and the superior rooms are a delight to stay in. Unfortunately you had a wedding on this time and we were unable to get such a nice room.
The food was disappointing. Previous experiences were far better, however, it was more of a "budget" menu than in the past.

Not expensive breakfast with scrambled egg and fruit and the cheese at the restaurant. Marvellous location next to a castle and a haunted one to boot as well as taxis, could not be better. Also, even in the nicer rooms everything has been neglected.

I really like the Hotel staff, friendly and always concerned about the guests.
The bedroom was small and didn't had a bath, just a shower. Although I liked the Hotel staff , they are not enough for the hotel, we had to wait and wait to have dinner.
